Transformations of Traditional Social Structures in Kabylia: Reinvention of tajmaɛt on the Internet

Abstract

Tajmaɛt, as a traditional structure in Kabylia, reinvented in the digital age, denotes a sociological and anthropological subject par excellence that raises questions, prompting us to reflect again on the mode of organization in villages. We are interested in the reconfiguration or reinvention of tajmaɛt through the village's Facebook page that presents a continuum of practices of the traditional village social structure. We do this by linking the advantages offered by the Internet to the mechanisms of tajmaɛt: community, intervention charter, equal access, space for debate, freedom of expression, decentralization of intervention.
